Fishlake

Good morning! Looks to be a hot one here today, guess summer is here!
I have two card to show you, the one this above Fishlake I named it because it reminded me of a lake we used to go to.
The fish and the mountain scene is "Happy Camper" by Theresa Momber .
The fishing pole is from "King of the Grill" by Rupa Shevde.
You can get both sets from Gina K. Designs.
Now about the top card again I used "Happy Camper" for the the background. The horse and the hat is from "Out West" by Theresa Momber. The post I made using woodgraining technique as Gina shows in a tutorial on Stamptv. The barbwire is inspired by Catdidit beautiful card she did.
The reflection on fishlake was done by using the stamp-i-ma-jig, I pretty much followed Theresa's tutorial on her Floating Lotus card and here is the link.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Elusive Butterfly

Good morning! Here is the card I made for my granddaughter's birthday. Wow! The years are flying by.
Gina from Stamptv did a tutorial on pulling pastels and this is my try at it. The butterfly is from Gina's set Eclectic Summer kit. The dp and the ribbon are Basic Grey which I bought from Gina K. Designs. I used twinklettes by Marvy, to give the butterfly a little sparkle. The pastels are by Alphacolor, I've had these around for a long time. This was a lot of fun mixing the different colors together. If you get chance to, check out Gina's tutorial, you can find it here.
I have two new follower's!!! Yes, welcome to my blog Tina and Melissa, I so love having you here!

Where's the ice?

Here's another fun challenge card. Lee at Stamptv is doing potluck Friday's challenge and we are to have two seasons on our card. I decided to do winter and summer. The penguin is from Stampendous, I colored him with copics and went over the black with a black Sakura glaze to make it shiny. Then I cut him out.the castle is from "Lazy days of summer" by Gina K. Designs. I sponged the sky with bashful blue and a little lavender lace. The sand is copic and I added some black dots around for texture. The greeting welcome is from tag lines by Gina K. Designs and to your castle is from "just be-claws. I stamped welcome first and then using some tape I taped over from our castle so it wouldn't be stamped. Then I sponged some bashful blue around the oval. The DP is Lime Rickey paper pak. Hope you like it.

Up, Up and away!

Sorry this so late. We had a big thunder storm in this afternoon and I turned my pc off for awhile. I made this card after Gina's tutorial on paper piecing, it was so cool that after I received my set on Monday. I went to work on trying it out. The stars and stripes paper is from Gina's free download and you can find it on stamptv under freebies. All the instructions for doing the balloon and on sponging is on Gina's tutorial. The stamp is from "Eclectic Summer kit" by Gina K. Designs. Have a good night!

It's a tall order but......

Good morning! I forgot to tell you about my win! Yep, I won a free stamp set from Gina K. Designs. This is the card I entered in the challenge, we were to use a technique called wax paper background. Gina did a great tutorial on how to do this and you can find it on Stamptv. I had never seen this done before and was trilled on how it turned out. So I got to pick out a set of my choice and the set I decided on was Melanie's "Little Tee". I got it on the same day as my big order from Gina's release. Now about the card the stamp is from Melanie's "Just so hippy" . The ink on the background is creamy Carmel and groovy guava. So saffron on the oval, sponged. The sentiment is from Gina's set called "Elegant Flowers". The ribbon is also from Gina's. Have a great day, I have another post later today. Oh, Gina K. Designs have three new design team members, a big shout out to Lynn, Cat, and Lee. Congratulations!

Quite a Catch!

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend. I got my new order in from Gina K. designs today and finally got back into my stamps. Kinda lost my mojo for a bit. Anyway here is a new card from one of the sets I got. It's call Eclectic Summer by Gina. I sponged the background with bashful blue, a little grey and some pink. Gina has a great tutorial on sponging skies on Stamptv.
The water is also sponged with bashful blue and night of navy. Then I stamped the image using the navy. I then added some white gel pen to put some highlights on the water. Watch for from this set! I did this for a challenge on stamptv, Cammies color challenge to use blue and red. Hope the week goes well for you.
