Repeat Impressions POTW -Gift Card Holder

Hi there! I'm back with a new POTW at Repeat Impressions. For my project I made a gift card holder with a belly band.

Supplies used:
Stamps: Repeat Impressions "Poinsettia"#2012-W and sentiment "Christmas" #1141-W (I inked up separately for a different look)
Embossing powder (clear)
MS punch
Copics R27 and R37
Removable tape
Gift card
Memento ink
Card stock
Designer paper
Washi Tape

The outside view with belly band.

Here is what the inside looks like.

I started out with some green card stock which I cut 61/4 by 51/2 and scored in half. Next I matted some designer paper to both inside panels of my card. Then using a piece of white card stock which I cut to 5 -1/8" by 3- 3/8",then score at 5/8" and 2-7/8". Next I stamped the poinsettia image three times using a mask with the VersaMark and black ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder. Colored the Poinsettias with Copic's.

Using a circle punch about half way, punch out for the ease of sliding the card out.

Here on the small score side I added some score tape . After gluing the side together I then glued it to a slightly larger mat. I used removable tape to adhere it to the card ( so you can remove it off the card). For other inside of card I made the panels about the same size as the card holder, Added the sentiment and sponged around with Desert Sand.

To make the belly band, I cut out some white card stock 7 " long, and punched it out with MS punch on both sides and sponged it also. Added a piece of Washi tape  and the Poinsettia image (love this image) cut and embossed. Score the sides and glue together the ends.
Slide in your card and close it with the belly band.

Great way to put a personal touch to a gift card. Hope you enjoyed my project and don't forget we have a DCC challenge on  Wednesday, hope to see you there.

Thanks for stopping by. Geri

Feeling Frosty Challenge

Hi there! Hope you are staying dry and warm! We have had a lot of rain this week, no snow YET! So far I'm not missing it at all. They are saying we may get some by Wednesday.  Now about my card, I just love snowmen and this image is so adorable, I just had to play in this challenge that Art Impressions is having, "Feeling Frosty" challenge. The image is from Art Impressions "Warm Your Heart".
I colored the image with Copic's and fussy cut around him. The very background snow is Bic Wite-Out, Sizzix embossing folder and the larger snowflakes are some stickers I had.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping , I will be back tomorrow with my POTW for Repeat Impressions.

Hi there! Well I'm already behind on Christmas cards, how about you? This week I'm  hosting the DCC Challenge at Repeat Impressions. I found  this gorgeous photo in craft ideas on Pinterest.
So my challenge for you to make a card or project using this photo as inspiration . Hope you can play along and maybe even win a prize. All the info can be found at Repeat Impressions blog The House That Stamps Built.

For my card I was inspiried by the ornament and colors. I used this lovely stamp image and sentiment by Repeat Impressions colored with Copic's . "Ornament Frame" #3814-W and the sentiment is "May All Your Dreams..." #423-W.  The glitter strips are score tape with glitter on it. Sorry my photo didn't show the glitter very well. It is very sparkly.

The more you comment along the way, the more chances you have of winning! You will have until midnight CST on Saturday, November 15th, to comment. Winners will be announced on the Die-Versions and Repeat Impression blogs on Sunday, November 16th.

For my samples I used this gorgeous Die, provided by Die-Verions "Whispers- "Seasons Greetings Script" Product code: DVW-404". Isn't it pretty? Sure mades a quick and easy card. The beautiful images in all the samples are provided by Repeat Impressions.
Card one: "Poinsettia" #2012-W and the "Pine Branch" #2708-W
Card two: "Snowflakes" #8805
Card three:"Peppermint Candy" #9721-F

For this card I did emboss resist  for the background and did two die cuts with the white and blue card stock, then glued the blue one over the white just slightly over then glued in to the the card.

I used a clear gift box for my box of peppermint candy (not sure where I got these boxes from as I have had them for awhile). Anyway after filling the box I used the die twice once on red  and then again on white card stock.  Next I stamped the candy image using Versa Mark and red ink and clear embossing powder randomly on the white card stock. After removing the die it from the card stock I replaced the red for the white and glued it to the box.

Here is other view, sorry these photo's didn't do this justice.

We hope that we have inspired you to be creative, and that you'll do a bit of shopping at the Die-Versions and Repeat Impressions' websites!

Thanks for stopping by today!
