Hi there! Well I'm already behind on Christmas cards, how about you? This week I'm  hosting the DCC Challenge at Repeat Impressions. I found  this gorgeous photo in craft ideas on Pinterest.
So my challenge for you to make a card or project using this photo as inspiration . Hope you can play along and maybe even win a prize. All the info can be found at Repeat Impressions blog The House That Stamps Built.

For my card I was inspiried by the ornament and colors. I used this lovely stamp image and sentiment by Repeat Impressions colored with Copic's . "Ornament Frame" #3814-W and the sentiment is "May All Your Dreams..." #423-W.  The glitter strips are score tape with glitter on it. Sorry my photo didn't show the glitter very well. It is very sparkly.

The more you comment along the way, the more chances you have of winning! You will have until midnight CST on Saturday, November 15th, to comment. Winners will be announced on the Die-Versions and Repeat Impression blogs on Sunday, November 16th.

For my samples I used this gorgeous Die, provided by Die-Verions "Whispers- "Seasons Greetings Script" Product code: DVW-404". Isn't it pretty? Sure mades a quick and easy card. The beautiful images in all the samples are provided by Repeat Impressions.
Card one: "Poinsettia" #2012-W and the "Pine Branch" #2708-W
Card two: "Snowflakes" #8805
Card three:"Peppermint Candy" #9721-F

For this card I did emboss resist  for the background and did two die cuts with the white and blue card stock, then glued the blue one over the white just slightly over then glued in to the the card.

I used a clear gift box for my box of peppermint candy (not sure where I got these boxes from as I have had them for awhile). Anyway after filling the box I used the die twice once on red  and then again on white card stock.  Next I stamped the candy image using Versa Mark and red ink and clear embossing powder randomly on the white card stock. After removing the die it from the card stock I replaced the red for the white and glued it to the box.

Here is other view, sorry these photo's didn't do this justice.

We hope that we have inspired you to be creative, and that you'll do a bit of shopping at the Die-Versions and Repeat Impressions' websites!

POTW For Repeat Impressions - Dragonfly Art

Hi there! Here with another project. When I received this beautiful Dragonfly stamp from Repeat Impressions, I knew I had to make a 3-D project with it. It is a nice size image (about 4" by 2").  I cased a art piece from Pier One Imports.

I have two samples to show you. Click on the photos for a larger view.

Here is how I made the blue one. I stamped the image in Memento "London Fog", colored it with Copic's using BG10, B01 and BV00. Next I covered the  entire image with "Wink Of Stella" GL clear.
After it dried I  fussy cut it out. Next I laid it on a "VersaMark pad, pushing it down for good coverage, then used clear embossing powder , then heat set it.  I used a small wooden block painted black and had my DH drill a small hole in the center. But a small box or vase will do. Bent some floral wire, snipped it the length I needed. Then glued the Dragonfly to the top of wire.

Here is a photo of supplies used for the blue piece.

A closeup image before adding it to the wire.

Supplies used for both:
Repeat Impressions "Dragonfly (lg)" stamp #4401-0
Floral wire
wire snips
glue
Wooden blocks
Black spray paint
Memento Black and London Fog
Copic's: BG10, B01 and BV00 (blue Dragonfly)
YR02, YR21, Y21 and G21 (Fall colors Dragonfly)
Wink of Stella
VersaMark
Clear embossing powder
Heat gun
Heavy card stock

Hope you liked my project and if you give it a try, let me know, I would love to see it.
Thanks for stopping by.

DCC Challenge - Winter

Hello there! Ready for a fun challenge? This week Repeat Impressions DCC is being hosted by our Guest Designer Robin Clendenning and she has ask us to make a card or project with a winter theme.
Sound like fun? Hope you can join us and you may even win a prize. You can find all the info here at Repeat Impressions blog The House That Stamps Built.

For my card I used this really sweet image from Repeat Impressions " Snow Work" #4705 and " Snowflakes" #8805. The background was created  by stamping the snowflake image randomly in VersaMark, then embossing it with clear embossing powder. Then sponged over that with blue Memento ink. The snowman image was colored with Copic's and cut out.

The team did  a terrific job and sure to inspire you, check them out here.

What If Wednesday? Sketch Challenge at RI

Hi there!
Time for Repeat Impressions "What If Wednesday" sketch challenge! Every other week Repeat Impressions has a sketch challenge and we would love to have you join us, all the info on playing along can be found at Repeat Impressions blog The House That Stamps Built. This great sketch was provided by Wendy. Thanks Wendy!!

Here is the card I came up with. I used this gorgeous "Cat Beauty" #8205 by Repeat Impressions
I colored the cat with Cool Grays by Copic's and some Prisma pencils. Sponging was done with angel pink by Memento's. The sentiment and oval are dies by Spellbinder's. The straight line I just cut a small strip and glued it down.

Be sure to see what the girls have created to inspire you.

Hope you are having a great day and thanks for stopping by.
