Designer Choice Challenge at RI

Hi there! Are the weeks just flying bye or what? I better start getting some Christmas cards made as I always get behind! Every year I tell myself, I'm going to start early next year!! Ha
Today's challenge here at Repeat Impressions is Designer's choice and this week Patti has ask us to paper piece on our card or project.  I decided to use this adorable little penguin, now isn't he just the cutest? #8814W- Santa Hat Penguin by Repeat Impressions.
The DP for the hat and the background is Basic Grey. I found this DP with the fence in my scrapes and not sure where it came from but I thought this little guy would look cute on it. I stamped the sentiment   #8810W- Snow Much Fun by RI, right on the DP.

Here is another very quick card using the same image for a different look. I was inspired by a card Theresa Momber made recently and decided the background would be perfect. Here is the link to Theresa's card. I again pieced the hat and cut the image out. The sponging was done with Memento's.

It is always so much fun to see the gorgeous creations the rest of the team has to show you.

You can find all the details about this challenge at "The House That Stamp Built".
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

CSS Alumni September - GKD

Welcome to a color combination challenge blog hop hosted by members of the Gina K.' CSS Alumni team. Today we are featuring hand drawn sets designed by Melanie Muenchinger and Theresa Momber. As you hop along make sure to leave a comment because on Tuesday morning (September 25), we will randomly choose two comments from all the blogs and two lucky individuals will receive a Gina K. Designs Stamps set each (the winners will receive either a set designed by Melanie Muenchinger or Theresa Momber).

Hi friends, you should have arrived here from the ever so talented Cheri Weston. I was really excited to join in this hop as Theresa and Melanie are my favorite illustrators, The hardest part is to decide on which stamp set to use! I did narrow it down to some of my favorites.
Today's color challenge is brought by Sharri, to use Pumpkin Spice, Sweet Corn and Fresh Asparagus.
The first card here is Melanie's , I used "Basket Additions 3" and her digital stamp set "Create a Cauldron" both are by Gina K. Designs. The images were colored with Copic's. After coloring the skeleton I cut him out and popped him in the cauldron.I made the bubbles by drawing circles using a green maker and highlighting them with white. The background spider is part of the DP. The spider in the foreground is one of the images in Basket Additions, doesn't he look like he is getting ready to drive right in!! All the card stock is by Gina K. Design as well as the ribbon. I absolutely adore this set.

Here is a card I made using Theresa's stamp set " Wild About You" by Gina K. Designs. For this card I cased one of her cards and followed her tutorial ,you can find it here. I changed the image and after I reversed the image using a sheet of plastic, cut them out., I also changed some of the ink. I love this set!!
Here is another card using Melanie set "A Year of Borders" and the sentiment is from her "A Year of Leaves" by Gina K. Designs. I thought this was just a perfect stamp set to use as the fall season starts this week-end.

For last card sample I used Theresa's set "Country Roads" by Gina K. Designs. You might have noticed I cut around most of the sentiments pretending I have the new Silhouette machine , which I don't yet but I sure like the way sentiments look cut out that way.

Well your next stop along the way is the talented Joy  and if you get lost along the way or if you started here, you can find the list of the hop at  Stamp TV.

Good luck and thanks for stopping by.
