Mix It Up Monday Challenge!

Hi there, here is a card I made for Mix Up Monday over at stamp TV. Cheri Westen is hosting this week and has ask us to make it double. Use your focal image stamp to make the background.
I used Melanie Muenchinger's gorgeous  Stately Flowers #4 by Gina K. Designs for my image. Stamping the background image at random in Memento's Lulu Lavender. Card stock and ribbon is GKD as well.
Spellbinders die and I sponged around it with Desert Sand. I stamped the image twice and colored it with Copic's.

Well, I have been glued to the TV all week!! Hope you are having a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Stately Flowers #4

Hi everyone! Here is a card I made for a couple of challenges.
The sketch challenge over at CPS-Card Sketches. CPS #275
Mix It Up Monday over at STV.  "Go For The Gold"  STV12MON27.

For my gold I used GKD gold card stock and ribbon. The images are from Melanie Muenchinger's "Stately Flowers #4" by Gina K. Designs. My images were colored with Copic's and I used Spellbinder's dies.
To keep with the sketch I stamped the flower 3 more times , colored and cut out just the bud part. I love this gorgeous set. I thought I could smell Carnations while I worked on this card!!

Hope your day is going great and thanks for stopping by.

Sunday, July 22, 2012

Hello,  today is hot and windy so I'm staying in and playing with my stamps. My DH went Kayaking so some time alone!!! LOL.
My card today is for Joan's challenge over at Joan's Gardens. I used "Stately Flowers" illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger from Gina K. Designs. I just got this beautiful set and can't say enough about it. When we lived at the coast we had a gorgeous yellow Rhododendron bush that I loved, but they don't do well here as it is too cold in the winter. The images were colored with Copic's and the DP is My Mind's Eye, card stock is GKD the die is by Cheery Lyn.

Here are the requirements for your card or project.
  • Make a butterfly card
  • Use green and yellow
  • Use something from nature (for instance a fern)
  • Have at least 3 layers

Have a glorious day and thanks for stopping by.

GKD July CSS Alumni Blog Hop

Hello there! Welcome to Gina K. Designs CSS Alumni July Blog Hop! This month challenge is a sketch that Melissa Cash so graciously  provided us with.
You should have arrived here from the very talented Cheri Weston.

For my card samples I used Theresa Momber's new stamp set "Tropical Nature" by Gina K. Designs.
When Theresa showed me her new set , I knew it would be a favorite of mine, I just love it!!
All three cards are the same in size and style, just different images and DP. The images were colored with Copic's and the card stock is from Gina K. Designs. Theresa has some great tutorials on coloring these images you can find here. I have this set in the clear (polymer) and I'm really liking it as it is so easy to place where I wanted my leaves to be as in the last card.
On my first and last card, after coloring the pineapples, I cut them out and embossed with clear embossing powder and used pop-dots. I did the same with the idols . The die's are from Spellbinders.

Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (July 17), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K.
 Designs Stamps!
Next you will want to hop over and see Joy's gorgeous creation. If you get lost along

the way , you can start from Stamp TV here.

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by!

Hi everyone, I'm so excited to join in BBB for July challenge and want to thank them for having me.
For my project I used Flourishes stamp set "Spring has Sprung" and the sentiment is from Flourishes " With Graditude". My gift box was inspired from Beate's tutorial here. I wanted it a little larger to fit my die for the top and bottom base. So I  adjusted it by using a 6x9 piece of CS.
I sponged Memento's summer sky in the background and colored the image with Copic's. The die's are from spellbinder's.
Sorry, that I haven't been posting much lately, my DH retired in June and I have been caught up in so much going on and lots of changes. Should settle down soon and I may have to post a "Do Not Distrube Sign on my crafting door! Hee Hee.

You will inspired by the stunning creations the team below has to share.
