Vintage Train

Hi all! Hope you are all getting some stamping time in. I have been keeping busy. I have a new card for Carla's color challenge over at STV. Black, Ivory and one other color, our choice.
I used Theresa Momber's stamp set " Life is Good" for this card. By Gina K. Designs.
I used my new Distressed ink by Jim Holtz "Vintage Photo" to give it a aged look. Gina shared some of the things going on over at CHA andone was about using Scor-buddy and Cutterbee Bug. I thought it made perfect looking train tracks.

Card stock is by GKD and I used Spellbinder's and copic's.
My DH and I are going to watch a movie. I will be back tomorrow.
Have a great week-end and thanks for stopping by.

Hello! My card today is for Speedy the Cat Friend Challenge to use Red, Yellow and Orange on our card. The images on my card are from Mark's Finest Papers "Chicken Scratch". I grew up in the country and and the rooster's were always crowing!! Takes me back a few!! Well, I had fun putting this card together. I used the sun ray technique and used MFP " Background Fun" to make the ground appear dry, I would say very dry!!

I colored the rooster with copic's and the DP is Basic Grey. Card stock is from SU. Punch is from SU. The fence was hand drawn by me.

Have a good night and thanks for stopping by.

Seashells

Hi everyone! Hope things are good and wonderful. I have been gone for a few days and trying to get back into this. We went over to the Coast and it is so nice and cool breezes. Then..... we came home to tons of laundry and thinking, did I really leave that mess?? Did I mention the heat?? We really did have a nice visit with my girls and family.
My card today is for the challenge over at JustRite Stamper. To make a note card not larger than four inches using a shape from Nestabilities. Just coming from the coast I thought Seashells sounded great. I just love this set by JustRite Stamps. "By the Sea"

Starting with the background I used Spellbinders Big Scalloped Oval lg. and Impressabilities Sea Scape and then for the big shell, I used the sunrays technique and cut it out using Spellbinders Big Scalloped circle Lg. Then I colored my image with copic's. Card stock is SU and Creamy Caramel ink pad.

Have a good one and thanks for stopping by.

Mahalo

Hi! I'm back with another card. Just couldn't wait to show you this. It is for Brenda's inspiration challenge over at Stamp TV. Which is this gorgeous purse and the challenge just started so if you get a chance hop over and check it out.
The large flower and sentiment is from Theresa Momber's stamp set " Aloha" by Gina K. Designs.
The Bird of Paradise is a digi from Tiffany's Gardens. Today is her Birthday. I colored all images with copic's.
The DP is a scanned image of an old shirt of mine, I think it came from Hilo Hattie's in Hawaii.
I got this wonderful idea from Melanie Muenchinger to use a shirt or dress for some DP. It was really easy to do and here is the link to her blog. Thank you Melanie!! When I look for DP I will look in at my DP and my closets!!

Hope you like it and as you can see I'm staying in out of the heat!
Have a good one.

Aloha!

Good morning! Don't you just love that greeting? I sure, do it reminds of sweet tropical breezes and warm sand.

I have two cards to show you this first one is for Carla's color challenge over at Stamp TV. I used Theresa Momber's new set " Aloha" by Gina K. Designs. I love this set and it has become a favorite already.

My card here is for Melissa's sketch challenge also at Stamp TV. I used Gina's "Enjoy the Sunshine" for the strawberries and the sentiment and Melanie Muenchinger's stamp set " A Year of Leaves. by GKD. I love these leaves, they go so well with flowers and fruit.

I used a small Marvy punch for the flowers and a drop of Stickles in the center. Both cards were colored with copic's. I used Memento ink for sponging and the card stock is by GKD.

Hope your day is wonderful and thanks for stopping by.
