More April Release Cards

Hello! Hope you enjoyed Gina K. designs release of Aprils new stamps sets!! The design team did a amazing job for showcasing the new stamps sets! Here are the cards I had for the release.
The stamp set in this first card is by Melanie Muenchinger " Gifts from the Sea" by Gina K. Designs. I love this set it is just full of beautiful sea shells and the sentiments are just perfect.
I made a photo frame by leaving the top outside layer unglued and I used Scor-Pal one/eight inch around the other three sides. So then, I can change the photo or leave the sentiment one in.
The beautiful little girl in the photo is My Granddaughter from a few years back. That would be Theresa's daughter. The shells are colored with prisma pencils. The card stock is from Gina K. Designs.

I added a few photo's of putting the photo in the card.

Now this is a bookmark done on acetate. Karen has a challenge at Stamp TV and I thought this little guy was perfect for it. I colored the images with copic's.
The stamp set is by Gina K. Designs "Quite a Catch" . This set is just adorable and really fun to color.

My last card here is Theresa Momber's new set " Gone Fishing" by Gina K. Designs and I absolutely adore this set. Holds a lot of memories for me. The image is colored with Prisma pencils, The card stock is Gina K. Designs and well the brads and eyelets. The DP is from Michaels.

Here is photo of my submission to the cookbook.

Here is my project I made for the cookbook. I picked up this little notebook at Michael's for one dollar in the dollar bin.

I used Rupa Shevde's stamp set " King of the Grill" by Gina K. Designs. The image is colored with copic's and I paper pieced the bottom with glossy black . The ribbon, button and card stock is from Gina K. Designs. The sentiment is computer generated. The inside is Sweet corn card stock and image stamped with really rust.

I would like to thank Jessica and Gina for creating and producing this wonderful cookbook to share with you all!! They totally ROCK!!

(The projects are also included in photos on the recipe booklet as well.)

April Book Challenge

Hello! I have another card for Gina's illustrator challenge over at Stamp TV. When Gina announced her challenge I knew I wanted to do Bambi. Back some years ago and I won't mention how many. A rancher had given my mom a baby deer because it's mom had been killed by a car and her baby was just days old. My mom raised the deer and called her Bambi. She had a calf called April, about the same age and they were best pals and I think Bambi thought she was a cow!! LOL I have some pictures of Theresa feeding her and will see if I can find them.

Here is my inspiration photo.

I used Theresa Momber's newest stamp set "Sending Sunshine" by Gina K. Designs.
Other supplies :
DP is Basic grey
Card stock is from Gina K. Designs (Fresh Asparagus and Creme De Menthe
Colored with Prisma pencils.
Ribbon and button is from Gina K. designs

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Sunrays Tutorial

Hello! This is my first attempt at doing a tutorial!! Yikes!! Anyway ,because I have gotten some E-mails requesting instructions on how to do this Sun-ray technique, I decided to give it a go. It is a real simple technique and I want to give my daughter Theresa credit , she showed me how to do this.
Supplies:
A sponge, I used a jumbo dauber
Ink pad, I used Memento's cantaloupe
Post-it note, I used 4x6
card stock, I used 41/4 x51/2 piece. You can use any size you wish it to be.

Picture of the supplies I used.

I put two pieces of post-it down across where I want my sun ray to stop.

I put dot to mark about the middle of the end of horizon, then using another post-it , place the corner on the dot, as shown it the photo.

Decide how wide you want your rays ( I just eyeballed it). Then sponge on the ink staying mostly to the edge of your post-it.

Keeping your finger on the corner where the dot is, lift and pivot the post-it up for another ray.

Keep doing the same , hold , lift and pivot.

On the last ray, I removed the post-it and sponged right on the horizon post-it.

Here it is all done!

I hope I made this clear and not confusing. I would love to hear back on how you liked this !
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

A Goose that lays Golden Eggs!

Hello! Gina has challenged us to make a card or project using a favorite children' s book. This the card I was inspired to make. I got the idea for making the sun rays from a card Theresa Momber did and you can find it here.

Jack in the Beanstalk was a favorite book of mine when I was little and my girls enjoyed it as well.
I always loved the part of the story where Jack finds the goose that lays golden eggs which is the part that inspired me to make this card. Another part of the story I liked was the giant saying this.
Fee-fi-fo-fum!
I smell the blood of an Englishman?
Be he 'live, or be he dead,
I'll grind his bones to make my bread.
Kinda gruesome, huh?

The supplies for my card:
Stamps: Gina K. Designs "Spring Mix" by Gina.
DP is Basicgrey
Ink: memento black and canaloupe
Ribbon and nestabilities
Card stock is from Gina K. Designs

The winner of this challenge will get to be a DT member for the month of April!! You can find all the info on this the illustrator challenge .

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!
