A Plant for You!

Hi everybody!
Did you get to Gina K Designs release party over at SCS forum. All the new wonderful sets! I must have them all!! The previews were just gorgeous! I was so excited to be able to preview Melanie Muenchinger's Gorgeous new set "A Year of Leaves".

So about my card , I wanted to make a philodendron plant and this is what I came up with. I colored the leaves with copic's , a light yellow is what I used here (Y11) then I went over it with a med. green leaving spots of yellow, then cut them out. To make the vase I used a oval nestablities and cut the top and the bottom off. The paper for it, is some glossy black card stock I have had for some time. The rest of the paper is all from Gina K Designs including her newest Pumpkin Spice.
I added some self adhesive brads and ribbon.

Melanie Muenchinger's newest set "A Year of Leaves" is now available for purchase! (You can see the full set under "What's New!" at Gina K Designs.) This is a year round set including an assortment of leaves and nature images with coordinating quotes and greetings to suit any occasion.

You can see more samples today using "A Year of Leaves" on Melanie's blog, and from the lovely and talented Sharon Johnson, Laurie Schmidlin,
This set has a lot versatility and I can see many ways to use it. This set diffidently is a must have!!

Thank you so much for sharing your time!

Hi everybody!
I'm really excited about this stamp set by Melanie Muenchinger called " A Year of Leaves". From Gina K. Designs for which I'm previewing here. In this card, I used one of the leaves from the set, colored them with copic's and cut them out. I used nestabilities to make the squares, the Pure Luxury card Stock is all from Gina K Designs. Chocolate kiss, Ivory and Pumpkin Spice. The brown ribbon is from my scrape pile. I used dimensionals to pop them up.

Butterflies in Nature

Good afternoon, we just got back yesterday from Brookings Oregon and had a great time! I made this card above here, for Friday's potluck challenge hosted by Melanie over at Stamptv. we are to use a photo in our card and I used a photo my DH took on one of his kayaking trips at Trinity Lake in Ca. The stamp set I used is by Melanie Muenchinger "Inspiration Mosaic" from Gina K Designs. I was inspired by a card Lynn in St. Louis did using the same stamp. On my pc I removed most of the color from the photo, printed it out and stamped the image. Then I printed it out again in it's true color stamped the image again using my stamp-a-ma-jig. I cut out the sq.s and put them on my card. If you get a chance check out Lynn's card here. The photo kind of looks like I did a mirror image but it really is two different butterflies.
Have a great day and thanks for looking!

EXCITING NEWS!

I have been picked to be Centerstage Spotlight Guest Designer for August at Stamptv. Yes I'm totally shocked and thrilled. It is such an honor to be selected and included with such talented ladies. I love Gina K stamps and Stamptv is my home away from home! I will post more about this later.

My door is always open!

Good afternoon, hope you all are having great weekend. I made this card for Theresa's color challenge over at Stamptv. We are to use vanilla and peach or pink. I used Asela Hopkins set " The Journey" from Gina K Designs. I cut around the door on three sides and used a stylist to crease the uncut side so it would open. I stamped the sentiment from Gina's set "Tropical Windows" from Gina K Designs. The images were colored with copic's and I added a small gold brad as the door knob. Then added flower soft to potted flowers. I used nestabilities for the ovals. To make the door stay closed I put a little dab of repositionable craft stick. I hope you like it and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

With a Cherry on Top!

Good afternoon! Wow living up in the mountains really has it's drawbacks, you know that thunderstorm we a few days ago really set off a lot of fires and we have about forty fires in our area alone which is a little worrisome and a whole of smoke! But I'm staying inside as much as I can. Good excuse to STAMP! Ya think? My card here is a sketch challenge at Stamptv hosted by Cat. The stamp set I used is Rupa Shevde's "100%" from Gina K Designs.
I used:
Copic's
Basic Grey
Brads
nestabilities

Hope you are having a great day!
