Timeless Tuesday at Flourishes

Hiya, so many challenges , so little time!!! I have been having fun playing some challenges and been loving the Timeless Tuesday challenge over at Flourishes.
This week is a sketch challenge brought to you by Silki.

For my card I used Flourishes " Life, Love and Lemons". I decided to see how the lemon slices would look if I made them Orange slices instead. What do you think? I colored them with Copic's and cut them out.The DP is BoBunny.

A Couple of Challenges

Hiya, Here is a card I made for my mom's birthday and for a couple of of challenges.
My mom loves flowers and plants and has a really green thumb, I didn't get that from her, so I will just have to color them on paper.
This week Brenda is hosting the "Free for All Friday Challenge" over at Stamp TV. Use a flower stamp and two different shapes on our card.
Also entering this in Joan's challenge over at Joan's Gardens. To make a standard size Birthday card with pink, green and some purple. Distressed edges and some piercing.

My piercing and distressing didn't show up very well, so here a closer view. Still didn't show that well, I guess it is the dark color against the lighter back ground.

The images is from Gina's stamp set "Seeds of Kindness" and the sentiment is from Theresa's set " Mountain Wilderness" both from Gina K. Designs.
I colored the image with Copic's, the DP and card stock is Gina K. Designs. The die are Spellbinders.

Hey there! This week we finally got a good snowfall and it is so beautiful and cold. Not lasting long as it has warmed up and now raining, strange weather this year. Well now you know the inspiration for this card. I made it for the Timeless Tuesday challenge over at Flourishes. Cindy is hostess this week and has ask us to make a Center Step Card. A first for me but it was fun and I will be making more of these. I just love this winter scene, the images and keyhole die are from Flourishes. I colored the images with Copic's. The DP is DCWV.

Suncatcher?

Hi, yesterday over at Joan's Garden she had a video on adding glitter using a Memory Box Die. After watching it I just had to play around with this technique. I didn't have the heart die but had recently gotten some Cheery Lynn dies, "Polynesian Sails Oval" and "Lace Rose and Flourishes" from Joan. I used only the rose portion of Rose die. Following his instructions I applied it to a piece of clear plastic. I cut out two of the oval die and glued them together with the plastic sandwiched in between. Here is the front, I'm holding it up against the wall, as I had a hard time getting a photo with the plastic reflecting the light .

Joan has some awesome video's on using die's that I have been finding helpful. The photo doesn't show how really reflective the glitter is so it is much prettier in RL looks like a stained-glass suncatcher.
Had fun playing around with this instead of house work!! Thanks for looking.

Joan's Challenge

Hi there, now this is where I want to be!! This beautiful image is from Heartfelt Creations " HCPC3355" , it relaxes me just looking at it.
I made this for Joan's challenge to make a window card. Well any excuse to use my new window die!!! The die is "Grand Madison Window" I got it at Joan's Gardens.

Here are the requirements if you would like to join in the fun.

Use a door or window or something similar
Use an out door type of stamp
Use a flourish
Use either an embossing folder or embossing powder

I used the candy cane folder for my embossing, I was trying to make it look like a chair-rail, but not so sure about it. The flourish is a Cheery Lynn Lace rose and flourish. I just used part of it.
Most of the supplies for this card came from Joan's Garden.

A box of chocolate

Hi there, sorry haven't been around much I have been fighting a cold or something. But it seems to be getting much better. Today I made this box for a Timeess Tuesday #152 challenge over at Flourishes. To make a box or treat holder for Valentine treats. I didn't do hearts or flowers. This time I went with LOVE BIRDS!! Yep they are in love! I recently won this set and the Keyhole die from Flourishes and I love this sweet set. The box is empty as I need to get to the store, but I think I will put some Dove chocolate in there.

and this is the inside and as you can see it's empty, drats I could use some chocolate!

The stamp set is "Snow Wonderful" by Flourishes. I got the instruction for the box from Technique Junkies. It calls for the Top Note die, I didn't have that so went with Spellbinders.
I colored the birds with Prisma Pencils and sponged with Mementos. Not sure where the DP came from. The card stock is GKD.

Flowers For You!

Hi, hope you all are well and keeping warm. Winter is suppose to finally be getting here, we really do need the rain and the snow.

I'm entering this card in the Mix it up Monday challenge on Stamp TV. To create a a Valentine card.
Also entering the challenge over at Joan's Garden.

Create a Valentine in "non-traditional" colors
Use some kind of lace
Use a flower - rose if possible
Use a key - optional

The roses were colored with Copic's and card stock is GKD. The DP is Prima. The images are from "Holiday Basket" by Gina K. Designs.

Looking out my Window

Hi again , I meant to post this earlier but I totally forgot!! I made another window card (I so love this die). This one is for Lee's challenge over at Stamp TV. It is a inspiration challenge from her Pinterest page on Facebook. This challenge just started if you are interested in winning a bag of stamps from Gina K. Designs. I was inspired by a photo looking out a window. In this case I made it look out on a lake near here, "Whiskeytown Lake".
The stamps I used are from Theresa's set "By The Sea" and Life is Good" both sets are Gina K. Designs.
The window die is "Grand Madison by Poppystamps. I received this as part of my recent win over at Joan's Gardens. I just love this die so many things I can do with and I have tons of ideas.
I colored the image with Copic's and sponged the back ground with Mementos.

I'm off to make another card for this week's challenge at Joan's Garden, who knows maybe I will win again!!! Take care and thanks for stopping by.

Hello, here is a challenge card I made for the Timeless Tuesday over at Flourishes. Tammy gave us a inspiration photo, shown here. We still have lemons hanging from the trees in the valley and it must have been a good year for them!! I took my inspiration from the shape of the topiary.

Here is my card, I colored it with Copic's, Basic Grey DP and GKD card stock. The dies are Spellbinders.

A Winter Scene Card

Hi, here is a card I made for a couple of challenges.
At the Cuttlebug Spot this week challenge is to make a winter scene with some texture ( like button, ribbon or felt). I added some bakers twine.
I'm also entering this in "Create a Scene" over at Craft a Scene, any kind of scene.

The stamps are by Heartfelt Creations " Cosy Winter Days".
The DP is Basic Grey and colored with Copic's and Memento. M.S. Punch.

Good Morning!! I have another card for a couple of challenges.
The roses are from Melanie's stamp set "Holiday Basket" and the vase is from Theresa's set "Vogue Vases" both are from Gina K. Designs.Colored with Copic's and card stock is GKD and DP is Basic Grey.

Blinging it Up!

Hiya stampers! Hope the new year has started off great for you.
All I had on my wish list for Christmas was stamp related items. So you will be seeing some new fun things.
Today my card is for the "Bring back beautiful challenge over at Flourishes, Bling it UP". I just got this gorgeous set and couldn't wait to ink it up!! My pears relect the color of the pears I have been seeing around here, they don't have very many leaves on them but this is the color of them. They do look a little strange on the trees with just a few leaves and a ton of pears. I'm sure they are a beacon to the deer.
I colored the images with Copic's and the stamps are "Pears" by Flourishes.

The things I changed is the stamp set and the DP.
The bear is from the newly released set from Theresa Momber "Mountain Wilderness" and I also used the sign image from "Happy Camper" both are by Gina K. Designs. I wrote the "Fishin Hole" in the sign to keep with the theme of her card.

A New Year!

Good morning and Happy New Year!!!
Time for new beginnings and new hope for the coming year. I wanted to share this card I made for Donna's new release challenge over at Stamp TV. To make a stamped a background.
For my card I used Theresa Momber's just released set "Mountain Wilderness" by Gina K. Designs.
I just love this set and goes so well with many of her other sets. I see quail all the time but the best time is when they have all their baby's, they are so cute!!!!

I'm not making any new year resolutions, but do hope to try to do better at cleaning my stamping area. Don't really think it will happen, but there is always HOPE!

The Meaning of Christmas Birthday Challenge

Are you ready for Christmas? I'm getting there, making peanut butter fudge today, my favorite!!! Today I made a gift box, to be filled with something special for someone special!
The challenge that Tami has this week over at Stamp TV is to create a birthday card in honor of the meaning of Christmas. I went with giving is the the spirit of Christmas.
The stamps I used are from Theresa Momber's new set "Dogwood and Butterfly" by Gina K. Designs. I colored the image with Copic's marker's and cut the image out around the inner circle.
Card stock is GKD and DP is DCWV.

Here is a front view. The box is a wrap around book like style. I would show you the inside but that will have to be at a later time.

Morning ( After the Rain )

Hi there! Don't you just love the morning after a big storm!! I love how clean and fresh everything feels and such beautiful skies. My friend Betty mentioned this challenge at Flourishes and I thought right my ally!! Yep, love to do those skies. So this is my version of the morning sky after a rain. The challenge is to do a morning or night card. There is a beautiful inspiration photo but sorry didn't post it for you.
The stamps I used are Flourishes "Home Tweet Home". Colored with Copic's and the sponging with Memento. White gel pen for highlights.

My card here is a Thank you card for Friends of Speedy's challenge to make a Thank You card. Well you can never have enough of them!!
I used a just released set "Winter Crocus" By MFP A Heinrich Co. I just love it when these little flowers pop their heads up in the snow!! The sentiment is from "Nature's Pansie's" A mini stamp set by MFP A Heinrich Co.

Try A New Technique -Buttons

Hi there! Here is a card I made for today's Try a New Technique on SplitCoast Stampers. This week the challenge is to use buttons to create something Christmasy or wintery. I made a snowflake ornament card. The snowflake ornament is detachable and ready to hang in a tree. I used removable tape to attach it. The snowflake was made using nestabilities " Fleur De Lis Pendant and Shapeabilities Fleur De Lis Accents. Card stock is MFP and the Sentiment is also MFP a Heinrich Co. from the set " Christmas Greetings".

Summer Dogwoods

Good afternoon my friends. my dh went back to work today. So I spent the afternoon playing with my stamps!!! My card today is for Lee's challenge over at Stamp TV to make a summertime card in Nov.
The stamp set I used for my card is Theresa Momber's newly released set "DOGWOOD AND BUTTERFLY" by GKD. I love Dogwood flowers and this awesome set.

I used Copic's to color the images and Basic Grey DP.card stock is GKD. I used my new but old on the shelve Grand Calibur. It did a good job, but will take some getting use to. I also used some Liquid Pearls but they didn't show up much.

I'm doing a hop first thing in the morning hope, you can stop by.

Hi everyone!!! Hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving!! My DH and I went over to the coast to my daughter Brenda's, we had a wonderful time and it was hard to come home.

CSS Inspiration Challenge

Hi there! Hope you all are doing well. Sorry I haven't been around too much, I have reinjured my shoulder and having a hard time typing but I will get around to your blogs soon. It is feeling a lot better now and I finally think I know how I'm doing it!! I'm guilty of removing my bra while watching tv in the evening, by reaching behind my back and unhooking my bra. These old bones just don't bend like they once did!! Needless to say I won't be doing that any more!! This is for the inspiration challenge the CSS team did on Stamp TV.
This is the inspiration photo. The bottom right photo was the one I used for inspiration.

I tried to get a photo of it shook up but just not fast enough!! LOL

Here is what the back side of the snow globe looks like.

The stamps used:
Winter Friends, Holiday Basket and Celebrate the Season by Gina K. Designs.
The snow globe is from Michael's, I think it was $2 or $3 dollars.
Images were colored with Copic's.

Hello stamper's! Hope the week end is going well for you. It is a mild day here. I did the inspiration challenge over at SCS. IC310. I decided on this chicken plate for my inspiration.
The image is from Mark's Finest Papers "Chicken Scratch". I colored the image with Copic's.

I'm also entering this in Speedy's Friends Challenge. To use your favorite technique. My favorite is to sponge, paper piercing and cut out images and I did all three!!

A Snowy Winter Day

Hi, I'm back today to show you another snowy Christmas card and thjis one is for a Snowy Delight challenge over at Flourishes, FLLCNOV11. I just happened to run across this and decided it would be a fun challenges as I'm really into the winter scenes these day's. So far we have had just a small amount of snow but will be sick of it in no time!! LOL. The images used are "Tree Silhouettes" and "Very Merry Christmas" both stamp sets are from Gina K. Designs. I sponged the back ground with SU Going Gray and a little Bashful Blue.

A Snowy Walk in the Woods

Hi! Today is very cold and been snowing a little all day!! Good day to STAMP!!! The card today is for two challenges. The inspiration challenge over on SCS and to make a winter or fall card over at Speedy's Friends challenge. I just love this technique Selma calls a snowy background. You can find her tutorial here.

The stamps for this card are from Mark's Finest Papers. "A Walk in the Woods". The card stock is MFP and DP is Basic Grey. The corner frame is Spellbinders.
I used Tim Holtz ink and can you believe it, no coloring!!!

Hi ! Yep I'm back with another card. This cute little owl image is from Mark's Finest Papers. I used the leaf die on news print cutting it out with the Cuttlebug and sponged it with Memento. I was thinking she would look cute with a hat and as didn't have a stamp hat that would fit. I drew it, I used to love to draw way back when. I colored the hat with Copic. The card stock is MFP and DP is Memory box, I think!!
The owl is from last month's release "Holly Greetings".

I entered this in SCS WT347 challenge , to use news print on our card. Also for the Cuttlebug Spot challenge.

The Tree

Hi there! I spent most of the day with DH having tests done and filling out papers for a little surgery he is having. Finally a little stamping time!! lol This card is for two challenges. The sketch challenge that Theresa has over at Stamp TV and Joan's challenge over at Joan's Garden. To follow Selma's tutorial, make a tree the main focus and add a flourish. The tutorial was a lot of fun and if you would like to try it you can find it at Selma's blog. I really liked how this turned out and will be trying more in the future.

The stamps used in my card: Theresa's set "The Giving Tree" was used for the large tree and circle design. The little deer is from "Life is Good". The background trees are from "Follow Your Dreams". All stamps are from Gina K. Designs .

Envelope Please!

Hello! The weather here is changing fast!! It dropped down into the twenties last last!! I really don't like the cold very much!! I have been making a few challenge cards over at Stamp TV and I really think you will like this first one, it is a Tag Book made out two envelopes glued together.
For the front I used Melanie's set " Festive Frame" by GKD. Colored with Copic's , on GKD card stock.

here is what the inside looks like with the tags on both sides. The holly swag is from Theresa's set " Very Merry Christmas"and the To: and From: are from Asela's set "First Christmas both are from GKD.

Good morning! My card today is for two challenges, the inspiration challenge over at SCS and Theresa's sketch challenge over at Stamp TV. I love this set "By the Sea" by Gina K. Designs.

I used Tim Holtz distressed ink to water color my image. Here is the tutorial on coloring with distressed inks by Yvonne. I pretty much followed her technique. The card stock, button and ribbon is from GKD. The sea foam was created using my white gel pen.

Day 3 Decorated Jars Oct 19

Hi everyone hope you are enjoying the hop! This is a jar of caramel dipping sauce, great on pies, cakes and deserts or straight out of the jar and into my mouth!!! LOL. The label sentiment is from "Holly Greetings" by MFP as is the ribbon and card stock. The sentiment tag is from "Ginger Cookies" by MFP.

This jar is a candle, decorated with Holly Greetings by MFP, the sentiment is from Ginger Cookie's. I stamped the sentiment on MFP glossy card stock and colored with Copic's. The punched back ground is made from a corner punch by M.S.

I got this bright idea to make my card look kinda like a gingerbread house. I used a MS punch for the roof, colored the ginger cookies with Copic's, the candy canes is twine shaped into the canes and CS is MFP.

Here is a quick gift idea. The ginger cookie image is great as a tag. All I did was stamp the image up next to a folded piece of CS, holding the the CS I cut around the image leaving a small area at the top. I did this in a hurry today so not very fancy but was quick!! By the way my DH said he really is starting like this stamping if it gets me in the kitchen!!! LOL. The inside of the card has To: and From: from this same set. I also made this for SCS ways to use it challenge WT344, Pink.

This first card is from"Snowball?" A really cute set that I'm sure to be reaching for many times. I colored the image with Copic's and the card stock and ribbon is MFP. The ornament die is from Spellbinder's and glitter was applied by following Faith's tutorial to add the glitter, sorry it doesn't show up well, better if you click on the photo for a larger view.

My next two cards are from "Country Christmas" and I just love this country scene. Both images were done the same just with a different color. So easy to do this, all I did was sponge all around the image going with a lighter touch as I got towards the center. With Copic's I pulled up some strokes to simulate trees in the back ground. I also added some darker color to the shadows. I then added white gel pen to make my snow.

Here in blue tones.

Happy Sunday my stamping friends! I had to share some more sneak peeks of Mark's Finest Papers upcoming stamp release. Be sure to check it out this coming Tuesday. Both the cards here I made for some SCS challenges. This first one is TLC345 , Pencil Me In. To color with a #2 pencil. You can use colored pencils if you want. The image here is "Snowball?" by MFP. The only color was added to the scarf with Prisma Pencils. The card stock and embellies are from MFP.

This card is for SCS is the sketch challenge this week SC353. I used this beautiful image from " Cardinals in Winter" by MFP. I colored with Copic's and card stock and ribbon are from MFP. The DP is by Memory Box.

A Card For Friends of Speedy TV Challenge

Good morning! I wanted to share this card with you, I made for Friends of Speedy TV, this is their first challenge, to make a masculine card. I used the newly released image from "Covered Bridges" by MFP. I colored the image with Copic's and card stock is from MFP.
I also want to congratulate Mark's Finest Papers on their second year of business!! Way to go!!! Happy Birthday!!!!

My DH used to have a pick up this color and he said this was his favorite!!!

Hi my friends!!! I thought I would share with you some more challenge cards that I forgot to put on here. This first one was for a challenge over at SCS. I used "Our Side of the Pond" by MFP. I just love this cute little frog!! I played around with his eyes. I colored them on a pop-dot and put them over his eyes to give him a different look. The ribbon and card stock is from MFP and the DP is Cricket.

This was a card I made for the summer time card swap, over at Speedy Home TV. I used "Floating Along" by MFP.

A couple of Challenge cards

Hello all! Gee, it feels like I haven't been here in awhile. Live just get in the way!! I have a couple of challenge cards to share. This first one is for Ways to use it on SCS. To make a bookmark in a card or stand alone. I went with a stand alone bookmark. I recycled the package from Spellbinders Nestabilities to make a plastic bookmark.( 3 1/2 x 23/4) Stamp set is from Mark's Finest Papers " Black Eyed Susans for Encouragement" , colored with copic's and the card stock is from MFP.

This card was for the this weeks inspiration challenge on SCS. I just love these pears from "Pears and Hollyhock" by Mark's Finest Papers. The images were stamped twice and layer over each other. Colored with Copic's and the card stock is MFP. The sponging is white craft. I used the scor-pal for scoring and the button and ribbon is also MFP.

Good morning! This morning I was looking at Jennie's challenge on STV FB page to use three different pattern papers on your card, well combining different patterns is always a challenge for me, so I decided to challenge myself!!! I stuck with one paper pack from Cosmo Cricket "Material Girl" to make it it easier!! Then using the colors I water colored the image, another new thing I decided to try!! The flower is from Prima cut in half and colored with Copic's . The image is Theresa Momber's "Heartfelt" by Gina K. Designs.

Good morning! Oh, you will just love this really cute set. A little info on this first card. I made the moon from a punch and sponged it and attached it to some Hazelnut CS from MFP and then stamped my background image from "Our Family Tree" by MFP. I sponged white craft ink around the edges. For a different look to the pumpkin I left off coloring the teeth and for a surprised look.Using a hole punch I colored the eyes and attached it to pop-dots. The die cut fence is from Spellbinder's , I colored the crows and cat with copic's.

This card was made earlier this week for a challenge but wanted to share it with you here as well. The images were colored with Copic's and the supplies for both cards came from MFP.

African Veldt- Casing Chrissy

Hello, hows everything with you all? I made this card for a challenge over at Stamp TV. Theresa has ask us to case one of the designers at STV, Cat!! I just love Cat's cards and she has been a inspiration for me. Here is the card I chose to case.
Snow Owl.

Things I changed: Stamp set and left off one of the layers and the button is different.
The image is from Theresa Momber "By the Sea" and the sentiment is "Follow your Dreams" both are from GKD.
The image was colored with Primas pencils and white craft ink for my sponging.

Hi I'm back again!! Yep, just had to play in Speedy's Friends challenge my friend Linda has ask us to emboss on our card or project. So easy, I just jumped right to it!! LOL. I also made this for SCS inspiration challenge today IC298.
The stamps used here are the newly released set from Mark's Finest Papers "Fun on the Farm". This is such a cute set!!. I colored the image with Prisma pencils and cut it out. I used the cuttlebug embossing folder for Speedy's challenge and to fit the texture of the challenge on SCS. All supplies for this card came from MFP.

Some Challenge Cards

Good afternoon! I wanted to share a few challenge cards I recently made. All three cards are challenges over at Split Coast Stampers. This first card was for the sketch challenge this week, SC346. I used the recently released set from Mark's Finest Papers " Poppies, Poppies, Poppies". I just love this gorgeous set. The card stock is MFP and DP is Basic Grey. Flower and ribbon is also from MFP.

This was the TLC337 challenge to make a Swinging fold card. This was my first try at it and it wasn't hard and followed the tutorial SCS has on it. But I do think I would do a better job next time now that I know what I'm doing!! The stamp set is from MFP "Birthday Mini". Card stock is MFP and DP is Basic Grey.

Now this card was for another sketch challenge, SC345. The stamps are from Mark's Finest Papers, "Little Birds with big Mouths" Card stock and ribbon is from MFP and DP is Basic Grey.

A Whale of a Time

Hello! I have some photo's I thought I would share with you all. My DH and I went over to the coast of Oregon for some R and R. We had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect. We spent most of our time on the beach. We heard that a Grey Whale had come up the Kamath River in northern California, which was about 45 minutes from us . We drove down to take a peek. Sure enough there she was! She is a Grey Whale reportedly 45 feet long, she did have a young one with her but it had made it back to sea. Hope she makes it back soon.

Well that is all for now, still trying to play catch up.

Hiya!! Suzanne has this monochromatic challenge this week at Stamp TV and I just had to give it a try.

The images I used are Theresa's "Vogue Vases" and Gina's "Bold Flowers" both are GKD. The CS and ribbon is GKD and DP is DCWV matstack. The little flowers are from punch. I stamped the image from bold flowers on the vase in black and some gold then colored it with Copic's. After that I used clear embossing. I highlighted the little leaves with a Sarkura clear star pen.

Sketch Challenge

Hi all, hope you all are staying cool!!! here it is time to start canning and if I could I would have posted a photo of a jar of homemade pickles to go with my card but I don't can anything!! Done that and don't do that anymore!!! Oh and for reason!! LOL.
My card here is for Vicki's sketch challenge over at Stamp TV. I used Melanie's set "Bud and Vases" by Gina K. Designs and the sentiment is from Mels "Year of Flowers also by GKD. I just love this image and stamped it on just about everything in sight! Here I stamped the image on a photo of a jar of pickles in a cooking magazine " Taste of Home" the photo was larger than the stamp so worked perfectly. The CS is GKD and DP is Basic Grey and the pickle DP is Crafty Secrets. I used a white gel pen to do some highlights on the jar.

Summer Days

Hiya, how's everyone? The weather here has been so lovely and I love sitting out on my back porch and enjoying the view!So I was inspired to use this gorgeous newly released set from Mark's Finest Papers. "Adirondack Summers". This silhouette image is so versatile, l decided to see how it would look colored. I made the tree, hopefully to look like a Wisteria tree.
I made this for today's sketch challenge at SCS, SC342.

Supplies:
Papers: MFP and DP is DCWV
Stamps: MFP Adirondack Summer (stamped twice)
Ink: Memento and SU (really rust for the chair)
Accessories: MS punch, Memento markers, Primsa pencils, and Copic's (to shade the fence)
Technique: Huffing and sponging.
I really liked how this turned out and was fun trying something new.

Hi my friends!! Another challenge card for Speedy Friends. this challenge is for us to make a bright and cheery card using pink, yellow and green.
The image in my card is from the newly released set "Planted With Love" by Mark's Finest Papers. I love this adorable set!! So much you can do with it. The image was colored with Copic's and the card stock and imbellies are from MFP. The leaves with the flower is some I had made up from " Autumn Fun also from MFP.

Now on this card you probably think it is strange to have a chair setting in the water! But this scene took me back to the days of fishing and camping, I always put my chair right in the water, if my feet are cool then I don't get so hot on those warm sunny days!!

I just love this gorgeous set!! The image was colored with Copic's, Prima DP and MFP card stock. I have two Lilac bushes in these colors. Love this sentiment.

Today's featured set is "Planted with Love" and I just love this set!!!!!!! My card and matching evie was colored with Copic's and the back ground is sponged using Memento ink pads. I sponged this in the same manner as when I did the sun rays using a different direction and different colors. I then cut it in half and mounted it to black CS. Sizzlit branch die and MFP CS. The seeds are the leftovers from Nestablities Fleur de lis pendent. I just glued them on.

Speedy's Challenge #63

Hi stampers, well, you won't believe the development of the on going soap opera about my shoulder. Now, that I'm all ready for shoulder surgery, the doctor that was going to do the surgery has fell and broke his wrist!!! Yes, something is trying to tell me something for sure. I really feel bad for him and hope he recovers soon. I have been getting better and thinking I just may not need this surgery!!!!!!!!
Enough about that, on to my card today. This week challenge on Speedy is to make a card using a die cut mat. I used nestablities to frame my image. The stamp set is from last months release set " All Aboard" by MFP. I colored the image with Copic's and the card stock is from MFP.

Time sure is flying by, here it is July and yesterday I saw back to school items going the shelves at the store!!! Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!

Summer Challenge Card

Hi stampers, the Ways to use it challenge over at SCS is Summer time memories. I grew up next to the beach and spent a lot of times there. A lot of good memories and reminds me of home. So I used I just had to use this fabulous set" Sand, Surf, Relax by MFP.

The CS is MFP and back ground was created using Spellbinders Impressablites and Memento. The images were colored with Prisma Pencils.

A Thank You Card and New Header

Hi stampers, hope you had a great fourth!!! Today I have card I made as a thank you. Faith from Mark's Finest Papers gave everyone who participated in the Birthday swap over at Speedy's TV
a cute mini stamp set! It came in the mail yesterday along with some gorgeous cards from other swappers. This is for the challenge over at SCS SC340.
The header is a sneak peek of a upcoming stamp set called "Planted With Love" by Mark's Finest Papers. The new releases start on July 12 and you will love the new sets they are Awesome!! I just love the crows( or are they magpies?) wish the crows around here were that cute!!!

Hi, here we are with another fun challenge for you to try. This week is Make it Sparkle!!
I love how the sun makes the water and the sand sparkle, so that was my inspiration for this card. Unfortunately my sparkle would not photograph. If anyone has a tip on how , I would love to hear it.
The stamps used in my card are "Tropical Vacation and the shell is "Sand, Surf, Relax" both sets are from Mark's Finest Papers. I bent the tree stamp a little on my block to make it sway in the wind.

My Surgery was Postponed

Hi all, I decided that I need to apologize for not updating you on my surgery. I was to have surgery on my shoulder last Thursday and it got postponed again because I came down with a bad cold, so yet again it has been pushed back. My shoulder has been improving everyday and I have started thinking I don't really need this surgery but I guess I need to get it fixed so that it doesn't keep doing this. I've been trying to really hard to space my stamping and not to re injury it.
I really appreciate the well wishes and prayers you have been sending my way!!!!!!!!!!!

Hiya! Hope this week is going well for you. Time for another challenge at Speedy's Friends. Just in time for Father's Day. Yep , that's the challenge make a Father's Day card or project for dear old dad. A few weeks back Joanne Travis posted a gorgeous card (shirt w/tie), now I have seen them around lots of times and decided to try my hand at it. I had a hard time deciding on which way to go, so many possible ways, that I made two.
The stamp set is " African Veldt" by Mark's Finest Papers.

On this one I added this adorable charm from MFP as tie tac, I thought it was a little large for it, but went with it anyway.

Hi all!! Hope you are enjoying the hop, I know, I certainly have been inspired. I grew up along the coast and spent many a day collecting shells, always looking for a perfect sand dollar. So this set reminds me of my beach combing days. The boat was colored with Copic's and I used Memento to sponge in the BG. The gorgeous card stock is MFP.

I love this set!!! Wild Poppies grow all around my part of the country and I colored these in the colors we have. I used Copic's to color the image , DP is Cosmo Cricket and card stock is MFP.

For my sample using ALL ABOARD, I made a slider card, now this was my first try and I found the info on how make it in a Cardmaker magazine. It was fun to try something new. To make the wacky tracks, I just bent the stamp on my block.

Here it is with the train slide forward. Looks like it's bouncing off the tracks!!! Better slow that puppie down!! LOL

Speedy's Friends Challenge #58

Good morning!! Time for another challenge at Speedy's Friends. This week is a easy one, just have a paper or silk flower on your card. For my sample I pulled out one of my favorite stamps by Mark's Finest Papers, " Gerber Daisy". Colored it with Copic's. I made the flower out of 3 daisy flowers from Prima , leaves are from "Autumn Fun" I even made up extra's as you never know when you will need a leaf or two for a flower and this leaf is gorgeous. I cut the wire off of some roses that Faith sent and wrapped it around my paper piercer for the curly things. The inspiration for my flower corsage came from that beautiful Prima DP. All the supplies used to make this card came from MFP.

WEDNESDAY, May 11: Big Boy Toys

Hiya fellow stampers!! Sorry I haven't been on here much, I had a set back with my shoulder by over doing it!!! I know, and now I'm paying for it. I'll be glad when I can get this taken care of!!
My project here is a desk calender I made using a acrylic photo frame I got at the dollar store. I have seen these done before but couldn't remember where. So I don't have a link for info on it. Sorry.
It's a 4x6 frame, I downloaded the calender off the web. My DH drilled the little holes for me and it is held on with brads. My DH loves old classic cars of any kind and I'm giving him this for his desk. A Father's Day's gift. LOL. The image was colored with copic's.

Speedy's Friends Challenge #54

Good morning!! Hope you are all ready for a fun challenge at Speedy's Friends. Susan is the host this week and she has ask us to make a card with NO Embellishments, use paper, stamps and inks. Here are some other ideas, (color, texture, distressing, layering, embossing.
For my card I used the newly released set "Oh Boy it's a girl" by Mark's finest papers. I colored the image with copic's, DP- making memories, cuttlebug folder, card stock is MFP. Supplies used in this card are available at MFP.

Speedy's Friends Challenge #53

Hi everyone!!! Lots to tell ya!! But first Speedy's challenge this week is hosted by Vicki and she has ask us to make a card and use a hat pin. Real easy, I just put one of these really cute hat pin that Faith has in her store. The image for this card is from the newly released set "In My Mother's Garden" by Mark's Finest Papers. I colored the images with Prisma Pencils and sponged with Memento ink. All the supplies used in this card can be found at MFP.

Some news I want to share with you all, is that Faith of Mark's Finest Papers has started our own social network. It's called Home of Speedy TV. We all are very excited about this as it gives us a place to share our creativity with you and you can share yours with us, make lots of new friends, shop, you can even chat right on the main page. She even has a place you can post a photo of your pet and it's free. Hope you can come and see us and feel free to add me as a friend.

A little note about my shoulder: I had my MRI and I do have calcium depoist (bone spurs) and will have to have them removed, not sure when that will be yet but will keep you posted. Thanks for your support.

Speedy's Friends Challenge #52

Hiya!! We are celebrating our one year anniversary here at Speedy's Friends!!!! So Vicki's challenged for us to make a Congrats/Anniverary card, Easy peasy.
Lucky for me I already had this image colored before I hurt my shoulder so a little layering and it was done!! Yay!! I'm still improving just not fast enough for me. I'm having a MRI on Monday so they can see better what happened to my shoulder, the doctor thinks bone spurs may be the problem. So will know more next week. Thank you all so much for your well wishes!!

The image is from the newly released set " Bearded Iris" and sentiment is from "Happy Pansies" both by Mark's Finest Papers. The image was colored with Prisma pencils. The beautiful script DP is from 7 gypsies ( collection from the journey). Card stock and cording is MFP.

I also wanted to mention that MFP is having a birthday card swap over at SCS. I have never participated in a swap before but this seems like a lot of fun and Faith is giving all that participates a mini stamp set, you can see it on my side bar, click it to see info on the swap.

Hi stampers, I want to thank you you all for the sweet comments and well wishes you have been sending me. Everyday is better, I'm able to lift my arm some now, I even tried to color a little today but still hurts to do that, I know I shouldn't try to push it. But it's is so boring not being able to stamp.!!! A couple of weeks ago I ran across this old oil painting I did back in 1989, it is done on rag paper.Not sure why I never finished this but as I don't have a card to share I thought you would like to see it.

Thanks again for all your support!! I'll keep ya posted on how it's going.

FRIDAY, April 15, 2011: Garden Fairies

The images was colored with copic's, DP is Prima's "Sweet Fairy" and the CS and ribbon is MFP. All the supplies used in the card I got from MFP.

I guess this will be my last card for awhile, hopefully I will heal fast!!! I see my doctor on Tuesday and will see what he has to say. I'm still not able to move my arm but the pain is much better. Thank you all, for the well wishes and I will be back SOON!!

WEDNESDAY, April 13: Oh Boy, It's a Girl!

I'm sorry that I don't have a card to show you with this adorable set. I have torn my rotator cup on my right shoulder and can't move my arm out or up!! The pain in this is unbelievable!! So I'm icing and doing the meds and mostly resting my shoulder. I do have premade cards for the last two days of this hop. I hope I can get back to stamping soon!!
