DCC Challenge - Flower Show!

Hi there!
Time for the Designer's Choice Challenge here at Repeat Impressions. This week the very talented rock star Cheri is hosting and her challenge is "Flower Show" ( use some flowers on card or project).
We would to have you join us and you can find all the info on playing along at Repeat Impressions blog The House That Stamps Built.

Flowers are my favorite images to color. I used a beautiful new image to me "Hydrangea" #9205 and the sentiment is "Beautiful Days" #9206  both stamps are by Repeat Impressions. I stamped the hydrangea twice and colored with Copic's. The die's are Spellbinder's. I cut out some of the flowers from the second colored image for embellishments and added some to the first image for more dimension.

For a wonderful taste of spring, check out the rest of my teamates.

Thank for stopping by and have a great day.

Repeat Impressions Project-Hinged Card

Hi there! I wanted to share with you one of a few versions of a Hinge style card. First you would make your folded card base the size you want or what will work with the size of your image. My finished card is 5 1/2" X 5". From the top fold you will need to score across the width of what you want your hinge or panel to be. I scored mine at 1 inch down. This can be either a side opening or top which ever you perfere. Next you will glue from the top fold to your score line across, being careful not to glue on the score line.. So that when you open the card it only opens from the score line, I guess that is where it get it's name. I'm not the greatest at explaining things so I hope this makes sense. I added a few photo's to help. Then decorate as you wish.
To make this card I used Repeat Impressions gorgeous "Butterfly"(lg) #6104 and the vertical sentiment is "Birthday Vertical" #6104.
The butterfly was colored with Copic's # BG000, BG10 and B66 and cut out.
The DP is MME.
Pop-dots for a 3-D look.

Score along the front of your card the width you want, my is scored at about 1 inch from the fold at the top of card.

Glue down the hinge portion with glue, I used score tape.

Here is a closer view of my 3-D butterfly.

Here is another hinge style card using the same butterfly image in different colors and doing the split screen technique, which is a image divided. I colored and cut out the image and glued it to a piece of DP. Then cut it into three equal pieces and glued it in place on some card stock. The sentiment is from Repeat Impressions "Flutter By" #9005

Another view.

Be sure to check the other teammates projects each week, always fun and Repeat Impressions have a challenge every week that you can join in and have a chance to win some fabulous prizes, you can find the challenges at The House That Stamps Built. We love to see your artwork as well.

Thanks for stopping by and a great day.

Hi there! Yep  it's Wednesday again! The days seem to fly by and today I heard that the time changes this coming week-end, that can't be, it's still winter isn't it?

Every other week Repeat Impressions has a sketch challenge and we would love to have you join us, all the info on playing along can be found at Repeat Impressions blog The House That Stamps Built.
This great sketch was provided by Wendy.

For my card I used Repeat Impressions "Stained Glass Window" #9401, colored with Copic's and embossed with clear embossing powder. The butterfly is a MS punch, which I colored with Copic's, then added stickles.

Hope you can check out the gorgeous creations the other rock stars have created.

Color Me Creative Challenge "Flaming Reds"

Hi there! Hope you all are surviving all the snow, cold and ice!!!
My card today is for #88 challenge that Color Me Creative   has going until March 14th! All about Reds!!! Must use red on your card or project. Sounds pretty easy to me.

I just got this set "Vertical Greetings" illustrated by Theresa Momber's  by Gina K. Designs. We have a lot of Poppies that grow along the road here in California and we should start seeing them soon I think. The sentiment is from "Signs Of Spring" by GKD. The Poppies were colored with Copic's R29, YR09, YG03 and G43 and were cut out. I also used Spellbinders dies, I stamped the image in Memento's Bamboo Leaves and the DP is Prima Fairy Flora.

Well that's it for today.  I will be back on Wednesday with a new DCC challenge for Repeat Impressions. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
