Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge

Hi there! I just had to play this awesome challenge at Flourishes Timeless challenge #200 . I got the clear ornaments at Micheals and having fun playing around with them .
This first ornament I used Flourishes stamp set "SNOW WONDERFUL"  The image wasn't the size I needed so inked it up with Memento black and the wiped off the side edges with my finger. Then I colored it with Copic's and extended the image and added another tree by just using a memento marker on the tree. I added it to the ornament and it's done. I added a sentiment and who it's from on another cut circle and added to the other side.

For this ornament I used a image from Flourishes stamp set " POINSETTIA PINE" colored with Copic's and cut it out added a flameless tea light .
Here it is without the light. You could put in some snow, a photo or small candies.

Well that's it for today, they saying we are going to get a lot of snow the next few days.
Thanks for stopping by.

Designer's Choice Challenge At RI

Good morning! Are you ready for Christmas? I'm not, but that is nothing new. lol
Today, I'm doing the challenge for the DCC at Repeat Impressions. So my challenge for you is to use at least two shades of blue.

For my sample I decided on a Easel  card, I used this gorgeous stamp from Repeat Impressions "Snow Skating" #4714. I colored the image with Copic's and cut it out, I also cut off  on the bottom of the stamp , then stamped the swirl on some vellum trying to make it look like ice.  The sentiment is also by Repeat Impressions " Christmas" # 1141W.
Here is the front of my card.

Here it is opened.

If you would like to join us in this challenge you can find all the info here at The House That Stamps Built. For inspiration  check out the fabulous samples the rest of the team has to show you.

CSS Alumni December Blog Hop

Hi there! Welcome to CSS  Blog Hop for Gina K. Designs. I guess we are winding down with the Christmas cards but here are a few more I hope will inspire you. This month Linda Payne is  hosting and she has ask that we make a non-tradional holiday card with no red or green. You should have arrived here from CHER'S blog.

Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Friday morning (December 21), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K.
For my first card here I I used a set illustrated by Theresa Momber " JOYFUL HOLIDAY" by Gina K. Designs

The main image here is set by Theresa Momber " CELEBRATE THE SEASON" and the sentiment
is also from "JOYFUL HOLIDAY" both are by Gina K. Designs.  I found this ornament at Micheals and thought this would make a nice gift set. I didn't get a chance to make a box for it yet. All card stock is by Gina K. Designs. I used Memento ink "Lulu Lavender" for the top card and "Teal Zeal" for the sponging on the rest. Spellbinder's die's. Copic's for the images.

A closer look

I hope you are enjoying the hop and are inspired by all the gorgeous creations the rest of my team mates have to show you. Next stop is JOY'S  you will want to see her fabulous card. If you came by my blog first you can  still start at the top by going here at  STAMP TV
Thanks for stopping by and MERRCHRISTMAS!!!

Update on Holiday Cards

Hi there1 I have been getting some requests on the colors and how I did the flowers, so I thought I would do a little tutorial on how I did my flowers for this card. Keep in mind I'm not very good at doing tutorials.

Here is how I started , using Melanie Muenchinger's set "A Year of Flowers" by Gina K. Designs, stamped the flower using London Fog Memento ink.

I then sponged the center and on upper part of the petals with New Sprout by Memento

Then I used Copic's R01 coloring the bottom part of the petal and blending into the green. Next I used R20 to darken and blend, as shown. The leaves were colored with YG13 then I added G24 and then
a little YG67 for shaded areas. For the center of the flower, I used Orange and Yellow Stickles. After coloring the flowers and the leaves, I cut them out. I sponged the back panels with Cantaloupe by Memento and then Rose Bud over that. These colors make a gorgeous peach color that goes well with GKD card stock "Just Peachy. You can see how this was done on Theresa Momber's  tutorial here.
After seeing where I wanted the leaves placed I glued them down and cut out a few flower petals (just for a different look), then attached the flowers using pop-dots.  Well that is all and I hope it was helpful.

Designer's Choice Challenge at RI

Hi there! Welcome to Repeat Impressions Designer's Choice Challenge. Pattie is has brought us this wonderful challenge of Create a Tag and /or Bags. Well this is perfect for me as I need more tags. The mitten die's are from Spellbinders using the largest one cut out on some designer paper. I added a band using a crimper on white CS for two and a scrape for the other.  The gorgeous images are from Repeat Impressions "Poinsettia" #2012W and "Twig Snowman" #2003W. Images were colored with Copic's. I cut the tags with die just above the fold.

Hope you can join us and look forward to seeing what you create. You can find all the info on this challenge at The House That Stamps Built. For more inspiration be sure to check out what the rest of the team came up with.

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by.

A Couple of Holiday Cards

Hi there! I'm working on Christmas cards and here are a couple I did for some challenges at Stamp TV.
This first card is for STV12 MON48 hosted by Sean,he is asking that we make a card or project using warm colors and warm wishes.  Here is what I came up with.
The base of the card is "Just Peachy" card stock by GKD. The die is by Spellbinders. Magnificent Squares. I don't have this die (which I did) but Theresa my daughter does and while visiting I cut out a couple!! I sponged them with Memento. The images are from "A Year of Flowers" illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger by Gina K. Designs. I colored the flowers and leaves with Copic's and cut them out. I also cut out a couple of petals (just for a different look.) The Sentiment is from another of Melanie's sets "Stately Flowers 5".

This is the card I made for my friend Linda's challenge at Stamp TV and Linda wants us to make a card or project using NON TRADITIONAL HOLIDAY COLORS, no REDS or GREENS. I decided to go with warm brown tones. The stamps I used here "Joyful Holiday"  were illustrated by Theresa Momber and by Gina K. Designs. I stamped the string and bow with rich coca by Memento and then went over it with Sakura pen which gives a sparkle in real life. I used some stones in place of ornament just for a different look.

Well that is it for today, thanks for stopping by.
