WIW Sketch Challenge

Hi there! Hope you all over on east coast and surrounding area's are doing alright!
Here it is time for What If Wednesday at Repeat Impressions.
Wendy provided us with this great sketch.

Here is my take on it. I flipped the image so I could work in this fabulous image in my card.  I used " Great Blue Heron" #1704W  by Repeat Impressions. I also used the "Monaco Butterfly" #107W  also by Repeat Impressions. I sponged the back ground with Memento ink and colored the Heron and butterfly with Copic's and Prisma pencils, The dies are from Spellbinder's and I used a white gel pen on the water.

Hope you can join us for this month challenges and look forward to seeing what you come up with. You can find all the info on this challenge here at The House That Stamps Built.

Designer's Choice Challenmge

Hello! Are you ready for a fun challenge? This week is Designer's Choice Challenge at Repeat Impressions. Joyce has ask that we make anything but a card. For my sample I decided to make some treat boxes for some  special little trick or treaters.
I used Spellbinder's Grand template "Square Petal Top Box".  Pretty easy to do and you can whip out a few in no time. I decorated the box using Repeat Impressions sentiment stamp " Boo" #2316W cut around it and sponged a little memento London Fog attached it to some black card stock , front and back. I cut out some sparkly netting and filled it with candy. Tied a ribbon and attached the cut out pumpkin image. The pumpkin is "Round Pumpkin" #2318W and the cute face image is "Satisfied" #2324W, I colored the image with Copic's.

Here is what it looks like after you open it.

Hope you can join us this week and you can find all info on this challenge at The House That Stamps Built.
Be sure to see what fabulous project the rest of the rock stars created.

Hope the week is going well and thank you for stopping by my blog.

CSS Alumni -GKD

Hi there! welcome to the CSS Alumni Gina K. Design blog hop for October. This month is a sketch challenge is provided by Melissa Cash. Now you should have come here from the talented Cheri's blog.

Now my first card I used Theresa Momber's fabulous stamp set " Under The Sea" by Gina K. Designs, Theresa has some awesome tutorials  on using her stamps. You can find them here
The stamps, card stock and ribbon is by Gina K. Designs. The images were colored with Copic's and I used a Versamarker and clear embossing  on the shell of the turtles and cut them out. The DP is B0-Bunny. The sponging is with Memento. I also used a white gel pen and some pop-dots.

Here is a close-up of the turtle shell.

I love Melanie Muenchinger's Stately flower sets, so easy to color and great for any occasion. The images in this set by Melanie is " Stately Flowers 4" by Gina K. Designs as is the card stock and ribbon. I colored the image with Copic's.  The die is Spellbinder's and I sponged it with Memento's.
Here is a closeup of the flowers.

Now do I have you in the mood to spend some time on the warm sands of a tropical island ? I say that as we are getting our first snow flakes this year.

Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (October 30), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs Stamps!

Wednesday, October 3, 2012

Hi, I'm back with another card. This is for the STV challenge  my friend Linda is hosting. To make a card with flowers, well I can't pass that up!!! LOL Love to color flowers.
I used two of Melanie Muenchinger's stamp sets. " Stately Flowers 3" and "Buds & Vases" both are Gina K. Stamps.
I colored the flowers with Copic's and the vase with Prisma Pencils. All card stock is by GKD. The DP is Authentique. I stamped the vase right on the DP and lightly sanded in the vase to give it a muted look.

Well that's it for today.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
