Paper Rose

Hi, I had a lot of you wanting to know how to make the paper rose I used in my last post. So here is my version of it. I don't remember where I found the instructions for this, I think in a craft magazine. But I couldn't find it, so here is my attempt of instructions.

The supplies you will need:
3 different sized flower punch
card stock
Water mister
Hole punch
Brad
Punch out 4 of each size

Stack each group on top of each other and punch hole in the center.

Turn layers to stagger them.

Mist the flower to soften the paper. Pull up each layer kinda of scrunching toward the center.

Continue this way until all layers are scrunched up. Here is the finished rose plus another color to show you what that would look like.
The card stock I used is Cranberry tart and sweet corn by Gina K. Designs. The leaves are from Melanie Muenchinger set " A year of Leaves by Gina K Designs.

If you have any further questions just ask and I would love to see what you come up with.
Thanks for stopping by.

Do you know that out of all of the many punches and dies I own, none of them are flower punches? Lol... Thanks for the tutorial, Geri - your flowers are so beautiful! I'm going to buy some punches so I can try this!

Great tutorial Geri!

I gave it a try Geri! My flower didn't turn out quite as pretty as yours but maybe if I make several, they'll improve! I think the best tip you passed along was to mist the paper -- it definitely made it easier to "scrunch up"! Thanks!

Those are great! I do not have those punches but perhaps scalloped nesties would work. I also don't have A year of leaves. I guess I have to go shopping!
